ABQ 99s Sponsor Pancake Breakfasts

One of our favorite things to do is go to a fly-in and make pancakes for the visitors.

We are getting to be pretty good at flipping flapjacks at airports. The last couple of Pancake Breakfasts were held in conjunction with EAA Young Eagles events. Children aged 9-17 came to take a free flight with a volunteer pilot and many stayed to eat pancakes with us.

We don't charge for the pancakes, but we have a donation jar that most people are more than willing to put a little something in. As a result, we have earned hundreds of dollars toward flying scholarships. Not only do we have fun, but a new student pilot has help reaching her goal of getting her certificate.
